What is the source of repentance?

Rob Ventura explains in this video that God is the source of repentance. It has been granted to us from God. Repentance and faith have their source in God. Unregenerate men cannot repent or believe. 

God in His sovereign grace, chooses who He will give faith and repentance. We should be grateful to God when we repent and believe because God has gifted them to us. 

Acts 11:18 (NKJV) - "When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life."

God is the source of repentance. It's been given to Israel, we read in the book of Acts, to repent. Repentance is a gift of God, just like faith is. Paul talks about that in the book of Philippians. It's been granted, given to you as a gracious gift, not only to believe, not only to suffer rather, but to believe.

So repentance and faith have their source in God. Unregenerate men can't repent. They can't believe. But God in His sovereign grace chooses those whom He will give the gift of repentance and faith to. So we should bless God that we're able to repent and we're able to believe because these things come from outside of us.
