Here Scott Brown does an introduction to the audio series "Young Men Who Changed The World," read by William Brown. "Young Men Who Change the World is a audio recording of Johnathan Edward's "Resolutions" and George Washington's "Rule of Civility"
This series of audio recordings that we're calling Young Men Who Changed the World is read by my father, Bill Brown, and he will be reading two very important works, one by Jonathan Edwards and the other by George Washington. He'll be reading George Washington's Rules of Civility and Jonathan Edwards' Resolutions. Now Jonathan Edwards lived from 1703 to 1758 and he wrote his resolutions around age 16, some a little bit after, but he was one of those young men who was very serious, who desired to be a follower of Jesus Christ, not to waste the minutes that God had given him. So he's a wonderful example for all young men. He was one of the most important theologians in American history.
He was one of the premier preachers of the Great Awakening. He was a missionary to the American Indians. He died while he was president of Princeton Seminary. He is a powerful role model as a young man, as a husband, as a father, and as a pastor. So my dad, Bill Brown, is going to read his resolutions, which I love, and I pray that God will bless you as you listen to them over and over again.
So without any further introduction, here is my dad, Bill Brown, reading Jonathan Edwards Resolutions.
