Does repentance continue to be an ongoing act in the life of a Christian after conversion?

Jeff Pollard explains in this video that repentance is an ongoing act in the Christian life. At regeneration, when an elect sinner tastes the glorious grace of God in Jesus Christ and the Spirit of God moves upon his heart, breathing life into his soul, two things arise: 

First, repentance. There is a change of mind leads to a change of action. Second, faith. Repentance and faith together are conversion. Conversion is a turning of life. We repent and turn in another direction. But, because we still have a sinful flesh, repentance simply becomes a way of life for the believer. It is a continual act in the life of every regenerate soul. 

Proverbs 28:13 (NKJV) – “He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

Repentance is an ongoing act in the Christian life. Why? Well, first and foremost, because of regeneration. When a sinner, an elect sinner, tastes the glorious grace of God and Jesus Christ, when the Spirit of God moves upon his heart, breathing life into his soul, two things arise from this. The first is repentance, that change of mind that leads to a change of action.

And second is faith. Repentance and faith together are what we call conversion. There is a turning of the life. We were going in this direction. We repent and we turn and go in that direction.

And because We still have sinful flesh, the remainders of sin in our hearts and in our actions. We're constantly in need of repentance. It isn't a single act that somehow brings me into the kingdom and I don't need it anymore. It is simply the way of life. I'm constantly growing in my knowledge from the Word and by the power of the Spirit in the glory of who Christ is and in the weakness and sinfulness and limitations of what I am.

So I always need to repent. It is a continual action in my life and I believe in the life of every regenerate soul. You
