How should family-integrated churches address unsaved individuals?

Kevin Swanson explains that a lack of evangelism stems from a lack of faith and courage to communicate the Gospel. Some individuals say that one way to evangelize the world is to send their young children to public schools. But this is not wise and goes against Scriptural commands, principles, and patterns.

Rather, God wants men to preach the Word of God in the public forum and to call people to repentance. This is what Paul and Peter did. They went wherever they could to get the Word of God preached and we ought to strive to do the same. We are not called to hide the Gospel under a bushel. Instead, we are to desire to share the Gospel to a people that desperately need to hear it.

Mark 16:15 (NKJV) – “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

Our Lord's last command is our first priority. In the church, in the family, in the city, to the ends of the earth. Join us in October for White Under Harvest. Family integrated churches sometimes ignore the lost, but hey, everybody sometimes ignores the lost. I think the problem is a matter of faith and courage to get the word out.

Now, typically people say we're supposed to extend the gospel into the public schools by sending our seven-year-olds down there to preach the Word of God in front of these classrooms. That's ridiculous. They don't have the opportunity to do so, they don't have the ability to do so, they're not prepared to do so, but God wants men to preach the Word of God in the public forum. Let's get the Word out there, let's preach it in the streets, let's call men and women to repentance. This is what Paul did, this is what Peter was doing.

We need to be doing the same thing. We go wherever we can go to get the word out. You
