How does the fear of God benefit all areas of life? In this video, Mala Chindongo explains that the fear of God is everything in life – it brings order to society, order in our homes, and order in the heart of a man. There is a saying in Africa that a man who does not fear God is a beast. This is true in life. If you don’t fear God, you have a seared conscience and if you do not fear God, you will not respect other individuals. This lack of the fear of God has resulted in people worshipping their ancestors, murdering children, or even dictators killing people because of a dislike of them. This is evidence of a lack of a fear of God. This idea has played out again and again throughout history. In places that do not have any knowledge or fear of God, we find cannibalism and all kinds of abuses going on. In contrast, when the Gospel is preached, things dramatically change when people's hearts are regenerated. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 (NKJV) – “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron”

The fear of God is everything in life, in the sense that it is what brings order in society, it is what brings order in our homes, and it is what brings order in the heart of a man. There is this saying in Africa that a man who does not fear God is a beast. And that's true in life. If you don't fear God, it means you don't have a conscience. Now you have a conscience, but it's a conscience that's been seen.

So you don't fear anything. You don't fear God. You will not respect man. And I think that leads to people abusing other people and even murdering them. Just some of the dictators that Africa has seen in the last couple decades.

It has come from ideas, ungodly ideas, ungodly practices, and that has led to either murdering children, sacrificing them, ancestral worship. It has led to even those dictators killing people just because those people disagreed with them or they just didn't like them. So it's a lack of the fear of God that has led to such kind of practices. Again, if there is no in the conscious, if there is no sense of God in that conscious, which is the fear of God. It will lead to anything.

It will lead to chaos. It will lead to people abusing their power, abusing their authority. I would see the same thing in history, that places that did not have any knowledge of God, any fear of God. That's where we find, we read history, we find cannibalism, we find all kinds of abuses going on, And every time the gospel has entered those places, we've seen a change.
