How are we to avoid the fear of man? Clarence Simmons explains in this video that we ought to cry out to God because our natural inclination is the fear of man – that is natural. We are to plead with God to give us boldness to proclaim His truth, no matter the cost. That is what we need to pursue. We do speak the truth because God has called us to His service and our primary obligation is first to Him and then to the flock. We are to preach His truth because it is His truth. We need to do that boldly and whole-heartedly and with backbone. Preaching God's Word to those around us is such a glorious responsibility. This is the will of God for us – to press on, not to quit but to keep going and go until the end as we look to Jesus, our great Saviour, who redeemed us by His great blood for the purpose of forming His Church into His likeness by the power of His Holy Spirit. Galatians 1:10 (NKJV) – “For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.”

We ought to cry unto God because our natural inclination is the fear of man. That's natural. And we ought to cry unto God, Lord, give us backbone. Backbone to proclaim your truth no matter what, no matter the cost. And that's what we need to pursue.

We need not to worry about if someone's going to cut our salary. That's not why we're doing it. We're doing it because the Master has called us to his service and since he's called us to his service our primary obligation is first to him and then to the flock and so we ought to preach his truth Because it's his truth and we need to do that boldly wholeheartedly with backbone and the other thing is as just a encouragement, I mean think about the great thing we have as pastors in preaching that word. God would take fallen men to preach his holy word to fallen people. We have just a glorious responsibility.

I think of what Paul told Titus and Timothy in 2nd Timothy chapter 4 before Paul passed away from the scene he said I charge you in the sight of God and in the sight of the Lord Jesus Christ, here's your primary audience, Timothy, preach the word, preach the word in season, out of season, whether it's convenient or not convenient, whether they like it or not, you preach that word, that's your responsibility because God is watching and listening to what you preach and so that's that's a charge to us It's a scary one at that to press on, not to quit, but to keep going and going into the end as we look at Jesus Christ, our great savior, our great master who redeemed us by his own blood that we ought to preach the unsearchable riches that's in him for the purpose of forming his church to his likeness by the power of his spirit. We got a glorious, I mean a glorious task and yet a difficult task and a sobering task at the same time but nevertheless we ought to do it out of love for the master and out of love for his people.
