Do you fully realize that God sees each of your actions and thoughts at all times and that nothing is hidden from His sight? How should that realization impact the way you live?
In this short video, Jason Dohm explains that over time, some individuals have seared their conscience so severely through rebellion and repeated sin that their memory of God has begun to fade and they are being given over to a depraved mind. They have chosen to suppress the fact that they live every second under the eye of God. It is a sobering thought.
Why do they feel like they can act however they want? When you realize that every second you live is under His gaze, there is a subsequent fear of God. However, when you lose that fear of God and when you think you’re not under a righteous and holy God who will judge you, you become incrementally more careless with respect towards sin and often resort to committing evil acts that you would never even think of doing.
Hebrews 4:13 (NKJV) – “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”
I think we see a carelessness in the world around us today that shows that people are oblivious. They have suppressed the truth. They've pushed it so far down, they've seared their consciences so bad through rebellion and repeated sin against God, that the memory of God is beginning to fade, and they're being given over to a depraved mind, because it is the downward spiral. And so as that happens, They begin to not even be conscious. I think one of the things that makes us fear God is a sense and a knowing that we're living every second under the eye of God.
That makes the God who called everything into existence by the word of just speaking. When you have a sense that the seconds of my life are being lived under the gaze of this God, it makes you fear Him. When you lose a sense of that, when your life becomes a godless life, really in your mind, you're not even thinking that there's a God there's no sense that you're under the gaze of a holy God who is only righteous and who will judge. It makes you so careless in your life and it makes you do things in your life that you never thought you'd do. You never had an appetite for them in the past, but now because the consciousness of God is lost in day-to-day life, you find yourself doing things that you never thought you'd do.
