The worship of God is the most important thing we do, as it is the primary indicator of who our God is. Worship happens as a response to a face-to-face encounter with the true and living God, and a worship service is simply a context for worship. The big question is whether or not somebody will be confronted with the true and living God in his nature and work, fall on his face, and give true adoration, thanksgiving, and worship to the true and living God.
The worship of God is the most important thing we do. Worship is the primary indicator of who our God is. Do we worship ourselves, or do we worship the true and living God who made heaven and earth? Are we more impressed with ourselves? Are we more consumed with ourselves?
Or are we more impressed and consumed with the God who redeems us in Jesus Christ? That's the question, and that's why I like this conference, because this conference is not about you. Worship is something that happens as a response of a face-to-face encounter with the true and living God. A worship service is not necessarily worship, it just creates a context for worship. It gives you an opportunity for worship.
Either worship is going to happen or it's not going to happen in a worship service. The big question is whether or not somebody will be confronted with the true and living God in his nature and work, fall on his face, and give true adoration, thanksgiving, and worship to the true and living God.
