Kevin Swanson explains that people do not know God because He has not been preached and His Word has not been faithfully preached. Sermons are important. We need to focus on the preaching of who God is. Once we know more of God, the better we are able to worship Him for who He is.

1 John 4:16 (NKJV) - "And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him."

People don't know God. People don't know of God. They haven't come face to face with an encounter with Almighty God because He has not been preached. His Word has not been laid out. He hasn't been believed in and expressed and described by preachers.

It doesn't matter how much singing is going on, how many prayers are said, it doesn't matter how much we respond to a God we don't know. We need to begin with a message concerning God. Men need to understand the God with whom they have to do, and that's the point at which they fall on their face. Lift their hands and give glory to God. That's worship.
