In this video, Paul Washer explains that in the many youth groups that he has seen, the main focus centers on relationships and entertainment. Youth participate because their friends also attend and they are entertained. However, is the Word of God preached? Is the Scripture that is preached watered down or made irrelevant?

2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV) - "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

When I go in to a typical youth group, youth ministry, first of all, there's no way I can deny it. Most of it is relationship based and entertainment based. They're there because their friends are there. They're there because they like it. They are entertained.

They are amused, but they are not entertained by Christ and they are not amused to say a word by the word of God.
