Kevin Swanson explains in this video that he became alarmed when he saw many children to leave the faith. 80% of the children were leaving the faith. Something needs to be done. It is a life and death matter. He personally started a church and has prioritized the sufficiency of Scripture and family discipleship in his own family.

Ephesians 6:4 (NKJV) - "And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord."

We have failed to reach the next generation. It's time to get past the denial phase. I did nine years ago. We started a church out of other churches. And over 10, 15, 20 years of my life, working as an elder in the church, involved in ministry, involved in Sunday schools and youth groups, I came to the conclusion that we were failing.

Coming out of the 80s and 90s, I was seeing the failure. I was seeing it with Christian schools, home schools, seeing it with the public school students. We were failing in reaching our children and I saw child after child leave the church, leave the home, walk away from the faith. And I said, we cannot repeat this. Nine years ago we started a church.

I was desperate. If 80% of these kids are walking away from the faith and have in the 80s and the 90s, which four of my five children do I want to lose? Which 80 of the 100 kids in the Sunday school programs and the youth programs right now in my church do I want to see walk away and go to hell.
