In this sermon, Scott Brown emphasizes the importance of ministers teaching biblical principles about family and modeling biblical family life, which includes teachings about courtship, marriage, husband and wife relationships, homeschooling, and not limiting the size of one's family. Having your family with you on the mission field is a tremendous asset, as it allows others to see a living model of these principles. This is especially important in cultures where these principles are foreign.
You know, scripture makes it really clear that ministers are required to teach the whole counsel of God and to teach all things that Christ commanded. Well, that includes things about the family. How can you teach about the family if you're not modeling biblical family life? And that's one of the great things about having your family with you on the mission field. So Frank, talk to us about that, or Nate, you may have comments as well.
I'll go ahead and start, Scott. I think that's a tremendous point. And I think that's really what we're talking about here today, is that we are teaching these men biblical principles about family, about courtship, about marriage, about husband and wife relationships. Because most of the guys and the young ladies that we're working with are even under the age of 30 maybe a few are over 30 but we're talking to these guys about homeschooling we're talking about not limiting the size of your family and things like this. Now this is utterly foreign to this culture and so we are actually a living model for them to look at.
And that is a tremendous asset for having your family with you. Thank you.
