The sermon discusses the impact of missionaries in Malawi in the 1800s and their legacy. The foundation they laid is responsible for the existence of good morals in the country, and the gospel has had a significant impact on the culture. The existence of God is now a given in Malawi, and the only way to come before Him with sins is through Jesus Christ.
Well, I'd like to talk about the impact of the gospel, the impact of missionaries going into culture. So here in Malawi, you know, in the 1800s, David Livingston came here, opened the way for really a flood of missionaries. What's the legacy? What's been the impact of those missionaries coming? Oh yeah, I praise God for those missionaries that He sent years ago.
Those missionaries, they laid a foundation whereby, on one hand right now, if I go on the street doing evangelism, I don't have to convince a guy the existence of God. That's a given that God exists. The only thing I need to do is now to convince the guy that you can't come before this God the way you are with your sins but only through his son Jesus Christ on the other hand is if there is any good morals remaining in Malawi it's because of the foundation that this man made for us.
