God is faithful. He is good all the time.

It is hardest for us to see God's faithfulness and goodness when things are going badly and we are walking through the valley of the shadow of death. We need to be sure to say to our children that God is always true to His promises. He may not give us a sense of His presence or a fulfillment of His promises or a completion of the glorification and sanctification work that He does in our lives, immediately. But it is a good thing for a man to hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord. God wants us in the position of waiting only upon Him.

We want to encourage our children to realize that God is there and He will save us.

Children are aware of their sin. They are aware of the demon world and "monsters." But Jesus came to save us from the demons that would take our souls to hell and all these monsters that would destroy us. We must explain to our children that He is faithful and we must believe His word. Trust in Him.

As Young children, I think children are aware of their sin.

They're aware of the demon world. They're aware of the monsters. Children have nightmares. Children realize that there are enemies out there. I remember when I was about 10 years old, I was walking down the driveway of our home out in Grants Pass, Oregon, probably eight or nine o'clock at night during the darkness, and I kept thinking, I wonder if some mountain lion's gonna jump out and get me.

I think children are aware of danger, They're aware of the potential of disease and death. They're aware of the monsters. But Jesus came to save us. He came to save us from all of the monsters, the biggest ones, the most ferocious ones, the ones that would destroy us, the ones that would take our souls into hell, fire forever. Jesus came to save us from all the monsters.

And I think we just explained to our children that He is faithful and we just have to believe His word and we should not be afraid, but trust in Him that He came to save us from our sins and to save us from death, to save us from the devil. You
