We can hardly talk about it since all of our language is time-bound!

This truth about God expands our thinking about Him. It takes our breath away if we think about it for just a moment. There is no creature like God. God is in a category by Himself. Everything outside of God comes from God, is by God, and is for God. The infinity of God stretches our thinking and causes us to bow our heads in recognition that we cannot comprehend Him. This Being, who has caused all things to exist and created us and revealed Himself through His Son Jesus Christ, is worthy of all of our worship for all of our life.

God is infinite. He has no beginning, no ending. He has grounds for worship. We can hardly talk about it. Do you say eternity past because past is a time-bound word?

Eternity future because future is a time-bound word. Do you say before creation because before is a time-bound word and God's above time. God created time, He is infinite. So this truth about God, it expands our thinking about God. It causes us to just have our breath taken away when we begin to reflect on it even just a little bit.

And it's wonderful. It shows us again the worthiness of God to be worshiped. There's no creature like God in this world. All the creatures come from God. God is a being who is in a category by himself.

There's God, and then there's everything outside God. And everything outside God comes from God, is by God, and is for God. So the infinity of God, it stretches our thinking and causes us finally to just bow our heads in recognition that we cannot comprehend Him. That this being who has caused everything to exist and who has created us and has revealed himself to us truly, honestly in the Lord Jesus Christ, this being is worthy of all of our worship, all of our life.
