Lots of people do not understand what it means that God is glorious. The original Hebrew word for the glory of God is a word that means weighty, heavy, and valuable. God is full of majesty and glory and beauty. He is a weighty God. God is supremely to be exalted and praised and glorified in all that we think and say and do.

Our lives are therefore weighty since we are to give an account on judgement day before this weighty God. It is critical that we understand the we live for the glory of God.

He's a weighty God in the good sense of the word. And so God is supremely to be exalted and praised and honored and glorified in all that we say and think and do. So our lives are weighty because we have to give an account on a judgment day to this weighty God, this glorious God. And this God made us in Adam to glorify Him. It's the only purpose we were made for, to glorify Him and to serve Him and thereby to serve our neighbor forever.

And so it's critical that you and I understand this, that we live for the glory of God. And once we understand the weightiness of this God in his supreme glory, The desire for a born-again believer to live for that glory, intentionally every day, help me today Lord to live for thy glory, that will more and more predominate our lives and that's a beautiful thing.
