What is an important thing to remember in regards to technology?

Jeffrey D. Johnson explains in this video that technology can be used for both good and evil. For instance, time can be wasted through mindless scrolling of social media or we can view or listen to ungodly content.

Conversely, Christians can be edified through videos, blogs, and podcasts. Accordingly, we need to take advantage of every resource and utilize it to grow and mature in godliness and to share the message of salvation with others around us.

Ephesians 5:15-17 (NKJV) - "See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is."

Technology is a wonderful thing. It can be used for evil. Satan does that, uses every bit of technology. If it's the printing press, if it's the internet, if it's podcasting, he uses all these things to advance his causes and his purposes. But technology also can be used for good.

The printing press was used in the Reformation to distribute the writings of Luther and it took something that would have taken years to spread. It literally took months. I think we're advancing new technology if it be the internet has brought in blogs, but now we've gone beyond blogs to podcasting and other such ways of communicating truth. And I think The children of this world are sometimes wiser than the children of God. I believe we need to take advantage of every resource that we have that can take God's word, God's truth, and spread it as far as we can.

Just think about what technology allows us to do. Take something that is recorded in one location and not just get it across the United States, but can get it around the world within moments, within instance. So YouTube and other such platforms, social media platforms, allows for gospel truth to spread quickly in a fast way. You
