What does the Bible say about modesty?

Brian Borgman explains in this video that it is important to instill the importance of modesty in young women. The world teaches women to accentuate their sexuality to attract attention, which can lead to impure thoughts in men and ultimately hinder the ability of young women to find a worthy spouse. 

While there will always be individuals with lustful hearts, it is important for young women to avoid intentionally causing others to lust and being a stumbling block. 

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NKJV) - "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? ²⁰ For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

God made women beautiful and we need to teach our young ladies that there is a beauty in the way that God made you. But the world is going to give them the message that really if they want to attract attention they need to accentuate and and in a sense draw attention to themselves by in a sense accentuating not necessarily just their feminine beauty but their sexuality and so so we should instill modesty in our daughters because if they're out and they're trying to just attract the lust of the eyes of men. First of all, they're never going to find a young man who is worthy of their hand in marriage in a sense. But we need to teach them to in a sense accentuate the beauty that God did make in them, which is both an internal and an external beauty, but you have to do it in a way that doesn't bring attention to the things that stir up lust, that stir up you know impure thoughts and of course in our culture we see immodesty as being virtuous and the fact is is it is just the opposite it's not virtuous at all and so we should teach our daughters the idea of modesty which I would just I would define simply as modesty accentuates the true beauty of a woman and it is particularly avoiding accentuating the sexuality of a woman.

And so, you know, you're always gonna have guys that just have lustful hearts and will lust after any girl. So I'm not saying that all lust is created by the immodesty of a young woman, but there is such a sin as lasciviousness which is causing others to lust and our young women need to take great pains to avoid that in our culture.
