Who can be a theologian?

Dr. John Snyder believes that every girl should be a theologian and strive to have a knowledge of Christ that is no less clear or developed than their husbands'.

He recalls a pastor's wife who challenged a group of women to get to know Christ better than any other man. Dr. Snyder notes that it is easy to give the impression that theology is only for men due to their leadership roles in the church, but this would be a mistake. Theology is the study of how to live unto God and daughters should be taught to become good theologians and see the reality of God in Christ.

Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV) - "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Every girl ought to be a theologian, just like every guy, every wife, every mom ought to pursue such a knowledge of Christ that their theology is no less clear, no less developed, no less biblical than their husbands. I Remember a very godly pastor's wife from the UK years ago speaking to a group of ladies in the church that I serve and she challenged them and She said why not get to know Christ? Better than you know any other man? What a wonderful picture. It is easy without meaning to for us to give the impression to either ladies or girls that theology is the job of the men because they have the leadership in the church.

That would be a great mistake to know God. Theology, which was defined by one man as the study of how to live unto God. We want daughters that see the reality of God in Christ and become good theologians. You
