What is the beauty and dignity of being created as a female in the image of God?

In this video, Brian Borgman discusses the importance of recognizing the differences between men and women and embracing the unique qualities of womanhood. He emphasizes the need to instill in young girls the understanding that they were created to glorify God and that this looks different for each person. For some, it may mean motherhood or being a wife, but regardless of the path chosen, all women have a high calling to serve and glorify God.

Borgman recognizes the challenges that women face in a culture that often devalues motherhood and places greater importance on other pursuits. He encourages parents to extol the virtues of motherhood and help their daughters understand the important role that they can play in serving God through this calling. He also stresses the importance of placing the role of wife before that of mother, recognizing that the two are closely connected and that a strong marriage is essential for raising children who love and serve God.

Ultimately, Borgman believes that there is great beauty, value, and dignity in being a woman and fulfilling God's purposes for one's life. He encourages parents to help their daughters embrace their femininity and recognize the unique ways in which they can serve God and make a difference in the world.

Proverbs 31:30 (NKJV) - "Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised."

You have to start with the fact that God created men and women differently. And there is a beauty and a dignity of being created as a female in the image of God. And going back to being and doing, you know, really instilling in that young girl that she was made for God, She was made to glorify God, and she was made to glorify God as a young lady, as a female. And that's going to look like a number of different things. We should extol the virtues and the high calling of motherhood.

You know, obviously we live in a culture that demeans and diminishes the calling of motherhood. But motherhood is one of the ways by which young women glorify God. Being a wife, by the way, invert that order, being a wife and then being a mother, that calling in that order. These are the things that make womanhood wonderful and unique. You know, when you stop and think about the fact that God sent His Son into this world to redeem us from our sins and He chose a young woman to be the one who would bring the Savior into the world.

There is a beauty and a value and a dignity to being a woman today and fulfilling God's purposes. And so that's something that we would want to still in our daughters.
