I think when we look at the world around, it is easy to become anxious at times and some people experience that more than others, be frustrated, could look like the enemy is winning, we can lose hope. But if we remember as we consider God's people in Babylon again that they were called to be there by Him. He was bringing judgment upon Judah for their rebellion and they were going to be there for a while. And so it was His will that they were there and it's God's will that we are where we are. And so as we acknowledge that, we can embrace the truth that we're here for such a time as this.

And we don't need to have anxiety or fear because if God has called us to it, as they say, He will bring us through it. In Ephesians chapter 2, we're told that there are works created for us to walk in before the foundation of the earth. So God's not going to leave us stranded. He's going to give us everything we need. And if we look above the world that we're in, we realize that there's an eternal purpose.

And as somebody has once said, if we look to ourselves, we'll be depressed. If we look out at the world around us, we'll be distressed. But if we look up, we will be blessed. So the Lord is with us and we need not fear. He has a plan and a purpose and He will see it through to the end.
