In his sermon titled 'We are Building on the Solid Rock,' Alexander Strauch emphasizes the importance of having a solid foundation for life, which is rooted in Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, and His apostles and prophets. This foundation is described as truth that will last forever. Christians are provided with a blueprint and guidance from God, which helps them navigate life's challenges, including modern ethical questions. Unlike non-Christians, who may rely on majority opinion or force, Christians have a divine word to guide and encourage their lives.

We have a solid foundation. It's not built on someone's ideas. It's built on the Lord Jesus Christ who is God in the flesh and His chosen apostles and prophets. So it is truth. And it's solid and it will last forever.

And so that's what we're building upon. And so our life has set before it a blueprint. There's a guide map to how we should live, how we should act, where we should be going. And so the Christian has a word from God and that word from God guides us. There are so many questions raised, the ethical questions didn't exist 25 years ago.

We have that solid foundation in the apostles and prophets and Jesus Christ. And that's what we need to look to, to guide our life, to encourage our life, to live our life upon. So we have a word from God. Remember, the non-Christian man has no word from God. It's simply a matter of the 51 percent or who yells the loudest or has the biggest guns.

They could force their way. So we're built on the solid rock.
