So Jeremiah's charge to the exiles in Babylon to build, to dwell, to plant, it's all teaching us to seek the welfare of the place, the peace of the place where God has placed us, not to be discontented, to seek God's hand in it all. And as it says, and seek the peace of the city, whether I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Lord for it. So we are to pray in the midst of it to God, for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.
