Let the Nations Be Glad by Michael Gobart. (Psalm 67) When Christ, through the Father's commission shines His face upon us, it is our joy to proclaim the magnificence of God and of His righteous judgements. Let all the people praise Him!
The National Center for Family Integrated Churches welcomes Michael Gobart with the following message entitled, Let the nations be glad. Our mighty God in heaven, we praise you because your name alone is worthy to be praised. Not one of us here is worthy to receive your word except by your grace. We stand before you as unprofitable servants except for the shed blood of your son our Lord our Savior Jesus the Christ father I pray that you would magnify your name in our midst that you would be high and lifted up that your ways would be exalted that your word would be proclaimed and that your people would be encouraged, humbled before your omnipotence, and ready to receive your instruction and your commands. Send forth your spirit, I pray, Father.
Prevent this hour from being a vain exercise I pray in the name of your son the Lord Jesus Christ amen Psalm 67 that is the passage that we will look at today and we I hope will glean from the example that has been set and that is that we have the privilege when Christ through the Father's Commission shines his face upon us it is our joy to proclaim the magnificence of God of his righteous judgments to all of the nations and because of that proclamation the earth will bring forth its fruit That is the victorious proclamation of God's plan of salvation from the beginning. Not a change in his mind at the entering or ushering in of the New Testament, but from the beginning. And today I hope that we can be invigorated and stirred in recognizing the greatness of God's Commission throughout the world. We have the liberty to proclaim the righteous rule and judgment and governance of Jehovah over all peoples of the world. And that is what Psalm 67 declares to us.
We'll start by reading the text and then we'll look verse by verse and see this culmination of a passage that gives instruction and inspiration and I hope humbles us as we see our own failures to mete out this song that should provoke us to praise and to worship of God. Beginning in verse 1 or just prior to verse 1 to the chief musician on Neganoth a psalm or song God be merciful unto us and cause his face to shine upon us. Selah. That thy way may be known upon the earth, thy saving health among all nations. Let the people praise Thee, O God.
Let all of the people praise Thee. O, let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for thou shalt judge the people righteously and govern the nations upon the earth. Selah. Let the people praise thee, O God. Let all the people praise thee.
Then shall the earth yield her increase, And God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him. We begin with what type of Psalm this is and who was it delivered to? To the chief musician of Neganoth, which means the singer or the one who would lead in singing with instruments whether it be with strings or with other instruments and that it would be a perpetual albeit freewill offering. So it was rendered out of the heart of the psalmist it was birthed out of a desire to proclaim the name of God freely from his heart but it was also with an invocation let this continually be stated let it continually be sung let it be continually be proclaimed before the people.
We see in Habakkuk chapter 3 verse 19 to the chief singer on my stringed instruments this is the very same Hebrew word On string instruments let us sing or proclaim or pronounce this song or song. It's a poem set to notes. To the chief man who presided over musical psalms or songs with stringed instruments, a free will and perpetual offering. So as we consider the words, as we consider the proclamations, as we consider the exaltation of God himself, know that this was born out of a heart that desired to proclaim the greatness and magnificence of God and even in the delivery of the Psalm to the chief musician he is seeking to provoke may others also be stirred in their hearts so that this would be proclaimed freely out of the abundance of earnest to proclaim the name of God. Verse one, God be merciful unto us and bless us and cause his face to shine upon us.
Selah. Here the psalmist opens with the supplication to the Lord, to Elohim, to this plural God of the Godhead, not singular but referencing the plurality of our God. To the Godhead for his mercy, for his blessing, and for his face to be shown unto them and to shine up on them. The language stirs thought of the Aaronic blessing that Moses prescribed to Aaron in Numbers chapter 6. And he said, when you seek to bless the people, bless them in this way.
Speak unto Aaron and unto his son saying on this wise you shall bless the children of Israel saying unto them the Lord bless you and keep you the Lord make his face to shine upon you the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give thee peace and they shall put my name upon the children of Israel and I will bless them so the psalmist starts by supplicating father would you stoop down in your kindness would you stoop down to me as an inferior being and be gracious unto me Would you extend favor which is what blessing means and would you allow me to see your face and would you cause your face to radiate in brilliance upon me so that I am affected by it? May I see your face, O God. It is a begging request. It is not an arrogant presumption. It is a supplication.
Oh Lord would you show me your face. Illuminate me in understanding. Cause my countenance to show that I have been in your presence cause me to be bright when the face of the Lord shines upon us when we have been in his presence it should be evident When we have had the liberty and the privilege to enter into his presence, it should be evident. When Moses came down from Horeb after receiving the commandments from God himself, his face shone so brilliantly that the people of Israel were afraid and he covered his face with a veil. Now that was a natural meeting.
Moses actually able to see and be in the presence of God. Certainly there should be an effect upon us if we have been granted access to God. It should radiate from us. We are his children and have been in his presence conformed into his image and we bear witness up his likeness Ecclesiastes chapter 8 verse 1 it says, who is as the wise man? Who is as the wise man?
And who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? How do we understand things? Who is wise among us? A man's wisdom makes his face to shine and the boldness of his face shall be changed. The fear of the Lord, the reverence of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and if we bear wisdom it should be evident in our boldness to proclaim the God whom we say we love and revere and seek to honor.
The gift that we have received we find in 2nd Corinthians chapter 4 verse 6 for God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness hath shined in our hearts. He has shined in our hearts through the work of the Holy Spirit through Christ Jesus his son to give the light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. We bear the very image of our Savior. Selah. And with this word even as we would be singing this song unto the Lord, we would pause to consider.
It's a point of punctuation. It's a moment of emphasis. It's like saying verily, verily and amen. God would you please shine your face upon us. Be merciful unto us.
And it is such an earnest request, I will not move forward, but I will pause and consider the weightiness of my request. The weightiness of my request. So the verse may read like this. God, stoop down in kindness to us as your inferior creatures. Extend favor to us.
And allow us to see your face and for your presence to illuminate us. Pause and consider. Pause and consider. This supplication in God's mercy yields an effect. It produces a result.
It brings about a change and it's one that we can expect. That thy way may be known upon the earth thy saving health among all the nations thy way speaking of his course of life his commands his patterns his precepts his declarations thy way Oh God Psalm 1 rehearses this same word blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of sinners, but verse 6, for the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous but the way of the ungodly shall perish. This is your face shines upon us and it causes your way to be made known. That it may be known as an action verb. It produces an action and to know is an intimate, intimate communication.
It's not a reference to having gnostic cerebral information in your mind. It is an intimate knowing. It's the same word Yada used in Genesis chapter 4 verse 1 when it says and Adam knew Eve and she conceived. It is to proclaim that knowledge, intimate knowledge of God will be known throughout all of the world. Upon the earth, all over the earth, it's the same word used in Genesis chapter 1 so that there's no confusion.
God created the heavens, the upper heavens, and the earth. And the earth was without form and void. That same whole sphere, that whole body, That whole globe is where the proclamation of God's righteousness will be stated, over that whole sphere. Thy saving health, it's a familiar word to many, it is Yeshua, It is salvation. That thy salvation may be known.
Psalm 66 verse 1 speaks of where that salvation will go and as we read of the nations it's a word that for any of you who may have Jewish friends it's part of the vernacular that they still use the goyim those who are not Jewish, speaking of Gentiles, non-Jewish peoples, so that God's righteous way may be intimately known to all nations non-Jewish peoples. Psalm 66 verse 1 made make a joyful noise unto God all ye lands every land sing forth the honor of his name make his praise glorious say unto God how terrible art thou in thy works through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee all of the earth shall worship thee and shall sing unto thee they shall sing unto thy name." In Isaiah chapter 49 beginning in verse 1 Listen, O isles, unto me and hearken you people from afar the Lord hath called me from the womb from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name and he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me and made me a polished shaft in his quiver hath he hid me and said unto me thou art my servant O Israel in whom I will be glorified and he went on to say it is a light thing that thou should it's to be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob it is a small thing that you should call the tribes of Israel and Jacob to repentance and to restore the preserved of Israel I will also give you as a light unto the Gentiles that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth." So the verse could read this way, causing Jehovah's ways to be intimately known over all of his created earth, his salvation among foreign, Gentile, and non-Jewish nations.
And here it is a song. We sing it in praise and this is a refrain. We'll see this verse again in verse 5. Very same language. It compels the audience.
It compelled this psalmist to refrain to the same words twice. Let the people praise thee, O God. Let all of the people praise thee. Praise thee, which means to revere or worship, Literally, to hold out your hands. Literally, to hold out your hands.
To worship God. It's causative, which means that I should be provoked to do this when I consider God's face shining upon me that the nations rejoice in hearing of the righteous judgments and way of Jehovah. It causes me to lift up my hands in praise. Oh God you alone are worthy. You alone are worthy.
In Psalm 7 verse 17 I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High. He speaks of all of the people collectively, not one people group, not one nation, or not one tongue, but of all of the peoples collectively. Praise thee, he repeats, to again be provoked to revere in worship, to lift up your hands, all peoples collectively. Jesus said this in John chapter 3 verse 14 so familiar verse but think if its rooted context And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whosoever, whosoever of any tongue or tribe or nation, of any people group across all of the sphere of the earth that he has created. Whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have eternal life.
For God so loved that heaven and earth which He created, that whole sphere, all people groups, tongues, nations and tribes, that He gave His only begotten Son. That whosoever, anyone, of all the nations and tongues and tribes and people groups believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. The verse could read this way Further causing your people to lift up their hands in reverence and worship. Oh God this causes all people to revere thee in worship. The psalmist elaborates upon the effect of God's face being shown upon us.
Oh let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for thou shalt judge the people righteously and govern the nations upon the earth. Be glad, it's another causative verb. All that we have heard should provoke our gladness it should make us glad everything we have heard first that we have experienced Oh God would you show your face to me so that it would cause me to proclaim your righteous way to the nations it provokes me to praise and it provokes the nation's to do the same let the nation's be glad to brighten up literally in our countenance and to rejoice speaking of all the broad peoples again and sing for joy literally is translated and shout shout Shout of the victories of your God. We do not serve a weak beggarly God hoping for victory. It has been defined and his proclamation to all of the nations should provoke us to shout to the Lord with a voice of triumph.
We serve a triumphant God and we have the liberty and privilege to proclaim His way. To proclaim his way. Judge the people righteously. It means evenly or level. It's translated elsewhere in the Old Testament as the plain, like the plains of memory, the flat areas, equality.
God's righteous judgments will be proclaimed and executed and meted out equally among the nations so that there is no more Jew or Gentile bond or free, but equal judgment through Christ. Psalm 26 12 translates it this way, my foot stands in an even place. In the congregation will I bless the Lord. Again it's over all of the earth, this entire sphere which God created which he references in Genesis chapter 4. In Genesis chapter 1 God created the heaven and the earth, all of the earth, and he will govern the nations upon the earth which means to guide them.
Here's the same word in Exodus. Exodus chapter 13 verse 17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them, not through the way of the land of the Philistines although that was near for God said lest peradventure the people repent when they see war and they return to Egypt and maybe a more familiar occurrence in Psalm 23 he restoreth my soul He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness, and that leading, that tender, nurturing, loving, shepherdly leading is what is proclaimed He will do among all of the nations. Selah. Think about it. Selah.
Think about it. God's righteous judgments proclaimed throughout all of the nations. He will lead them. He will judge them equally. Think about this.
So the verse could read this way, the broader community of peoples are made bright and shout because you pronounced sentence for and against the collective people evenly and justly equally and guide the broader equally and guide the broader community of people upon the whole earth. Pause and consider this. Refrain. Again, the psalmist is stirred. He repeats, Let the people praise Thee, O God.
Let all the people praise Thee. Let all people revere Thee in worship. Let all people extend their hands unto you, O God. Let every tongue and nation and tribe revere you in worship, all peoples everywhere collectively. Jesus said in John 4 14, but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up in everlasting life, all who call upon the name of the Lord." Again the verse could read, further causing the people to lift up their hands in reverence and worship.
Oh God, this causes all people to revere and worship thee. Again, an effect, We see an effect from this. Then shall the earth yield her increase and God, even our own God, shall bless us. Yield means to give. So the earth, the sphere, the whole created globe which God has created shall give of its increase and the author is communicating from a point of view where he has already seen it take place.
It is an emphatic declaration. It is not a hopeful supplication. It is a firm proclamation. The earth shall, will, most definitely yield its increase. Its crop.
This borrows from the language of Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28, two chapters that speak of the blessings and cursings of Jehovah for His people. Blessings for obedience, cursings for disobedience. If you obey me, you shall be the head and not the tail. You shall be the lender and not the borrower. You shall pursue a nation in one direction and they shall flee in ten.
Your wives will bear fruit and have increase. You will have increase among your fold, among your flock, among your kind, among your herds. But if you disobey me, I will strike you with fear. Your crops will not yield your increase. You will be the tail and not the head.
You will be the borrower and not the lender. Your wives will not have strength to bring forth children. Another nation will come in and take them from you and you will be scared. But God says as you proclaim the righteousness, the judgment of God among all the peoples and as the people render their praise unto me the earth will bring forth its increase. If you walk in my statutes and keep my commandments and do them then I will give you rain in due season and the land shall yield her increase and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit." He shall bless us to extend favor to us.
He again will extend favor to us. The field will yield its increase, the earth will bring forth its crop, and God will show favor unto us. Genesis chapter 12 verse 3, And I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee, and in thee shall all of the families of the earth be blessed." This was the promise to Abram and Abraham. In all blessing that comes, those who bless thee I will bless, and all of the nations of the earth shall be blessed through you." Through the example that he set through faith. The faith of righteous Abraham.
This was the proclamation and the promise. Isaiah chapter 1 verse 17, learn to do well, seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, let us reason together, sayeth the Lord, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow though they be red like crimson they shall be as wool if you be willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land but if you refuse and rebel you shall be devoured with the sword for the mouth of the Lord have spoken." So we have this promise God's face shining upon us us proclaiming to the nations with joy the nation's receiving with gladness and rendering praise the earth bringing forth its increase physically. In the context, all of the context would say it would be bringing forth of the abundance of the nations as they call upon the sovereign God raising their hands. The earth, all of the earth, every tongue and tribe and nation bringing forth fruit unto the harvest.
Colossians chapter 1, for the hope which is laid up for you in heaven whereof you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel which is come unto you as it is in all of the world and it bringeth forth fruit as it doth also in you since the day you heard of it and knew the grace of God in truth the gospel brings forth fruit in us and it like it did among the Jews when they supplicated for God's face to shine up then upon them should also provoke in us the proclamation that in turn yields more fruit. Revelation chapter 15 verse 4 who shall not fear thee O Lord and glorify thy name for thou only art holy For all nations shall come and worship before thee, for thy judgments are made manifest." The verse could read this way, then all of the earth will give her crop and Elohim, even our own God, shall extend favor to us. Verse 7, the reverence of the Lord. God shall bless us and all of the earth shall fear Him. Elohim shall bless us.
It's a future declaration this time. In the conditions that we've spoken of, God will extend His favor to us. Literally, to the sensation, forgive me, cessation, to the ending, to the stopping of the earth. His favor will be extended unto the stopping of the earth until it is no more. And all of the earth, all of that earth shall stand in awe and show reverence and honor and respect and yes, be afraid of Him.
Not a constant trembling but a reverential quaking of being in the presence of the One who has created us, who commissions all things, and in whose presence we all would be like John the Revelator, who when he saw the Alpha and the Omega, with his robe down to his feet, with his golden girdle, with his hair and face white like wool and snow, and with his eyes like fire and with his feet like brass which had been burned in a kiln said that he fell down as one who was dead and that is the God of whom we have the privilege to speak of and to speak about of whom we have been called by whom we have been commissioned to whom all things are due. Psalm 119 verse 9 he sent redemption unto his people he hath commanded his covenant forever holy and revered is his name Psalm 112 verse 1 praise ye the Lord Blessed is the man that feareth, who revereth, who prostrates himself before God, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. Ephesians chapter 4 verse 7, But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ wherefore he saith when he ascended upon high he led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men.
So like John the Revelator when he saw the Alpha and the Omega and fell to his face prostrate as one dead, which is appropriate when we consider standing in the presence of God. Or like Moses, who was instructed to take his shoes off because he stood on holy ground, or like Isaiah, who said, I am undone. He saw the seraphim fly with two wings, they did fly with two wings, they covered their face and with two wings, they did cover their feet. And they cried, holy, holy, holy. And Isaiah said, I am undone.
I am a man of unclean lips and I dwell among a people of unclean lips. I am undone. I don't come in my own ability boldly. And yet that omnipotent God that stirs in us to say, I fall on my face as one who is dead, also welcomes me and says, Son, come boldly before my throne. And that is the God who we have the privilege to serve.
That is the God who has called us to be His children. The one who has created all things and who takes thought of you and me. He is our God and it is His gospel that we get to proclaim. So the verse could read this way, Elohim will extend favor and the ends of the earth shall stand in awe and reverence and show honor to Him. This is our Father's commission.
The work of his son and our Christ Jesus it is a militant triumphant proclaiming reception among the nation's and victorious fruit across the earth Those of us who have been redeemed by the Father through the Son are His ambassadors to proclaim Him and His kingdom. We see this foretold. We have an expectation that was given to Moses very early on. If we are faithful to obey the commands of our God, it will produce fruit. Deuteronomy chapter 4 bears this out.
Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments which I teach you for to do them, that you may live and go in and possess the land which the Lord your God the God of your fathers giveth you you shall not add unto the word which I command you neither shall you diminish ought from it that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you your eyes have seen what the Lord has done because of Baal Peor for all the men that followed Baal Peor the Lord thy God hath destroyed them from among you but you that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day behold I have taught you statutes and judgments even as the Lord my God commanded me that you should do so in the land whither you go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them for this is your wisdom and your understanding and the sight of the nations which shall hear these statutes of God and say surely this great nation is wise and understanding people for what nation is there so great who hath God so nigh unto them as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon Him for.
And what nation is there so great that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law which I set before you this day? Only take heed to thyself and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from the heart all the days of thy life, rather teach them unto your sons, unto your sons' sons." Isaiah said this in chapter 54 verse 17 no weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper and every tongue shall rise that shall rise against thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord." So that radiating presence of God which we supplicate for which promotes and compels the proclamation of God's righteous judgments to the nation which compels us to lift our hands in praise. No weapon that is fashioned against us as the commissioned of that proclamation shall stand. We are the servants of God.
We are the servants of God. We are the militant church proclaiming the kingdom of God and His King, the Lord Jesus the Christ. We here are the nations who have received of that radiating effect that face that has shown brilliantly among his people. We the goyim, the gentiles are the ones who have received that blessing the righteousness of God made known his way proclaimed This day you hear it and you have heard it in the past and those of you who have called upon His name, it is because He has been gracious to open your eyes to see his ways and we like they should sing yay shout of the glories of God Revelation chapter 5 verse 9 and they sung a new song saying thou art worthy to take the book and to open the seals thereof for thou wast slain and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred and tongue and people and nation and has made us unto our God kings and priests and we shall reign on earth. Revelation chapter 14 verse 6 and I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth and to every nation and kindred and tongue and people saying with a loud voice, Fear God!
And give Him glory! For the hour of His judgment has come. And worship Him that made heaven and earth and the sea and the fountains of waters. Psalm 103 beginning in verse 6, the Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. Again equally in the plain, that level place for all peoples, nations, tongues, and tribes.
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide, neither will he keep his anger forever he has not dealt with us after our sins nor rewarded us according to our iniquities for as the heaven is high above the earth so great is his mercy toward them that fear him as far as the east is from the west so far hath he removed our transgressions from us for he knoweth our frame. He remembereth that we are dust. As for a man, his days are as grass, as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
For the wind passeth over it and it is gone and the place thereof shall flow no more but the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting upon them that fear him and his righteousness unto children's children to such as keep his covenant to those that remember his commandment to do them. Wherefore God hath also highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of things in heaven and things in earth and things under the earth and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father. Romans chapter 16 verse 25 Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel and to the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret since the world began but now is made manifest now we the goyim we the nation's the heathen the Gentiles the non-Jewish peoples have been the recipients of God's radiating grace. We have had revealed to us His righteous equality driven way. But now is made manifest and by the scriptures of the prophets according to the commandment of the everlasting God may be known to all nations for the obedience of faith.
To God only wise be glory through Jesus Christ forever amen Ephesians chapter 1 wherewith he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence having made known unto us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself that in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ both which are in heaven and which are on earth and this is our Commission. To the chief man who presided over musical psalms or songs with stringed instruments, a free will and perpetual offering. God stoop down in kindness to us as your inferior creatures, extend favor to us, and allow us to see your face and for your presence to illuminate us pause and consider this causing Jehovah's ways to be intimately known over all of his created earth his salvation among foreign Gentile non-Jewish nations further causing your people to lift up their hands in reverence unto you, O God, and to worship, O God. This causes all people, all nations tongues and tribes to revere you the broader community of peoples are made bright and they shout of the victory of their God, of the righteousness of His ways, of the greatness of His path, of the equity of His judgments.
Because you pronounce sentence for and against the collective people evenly and justly equally and guide the broader community of people upon the whole earth pause and consider this Further causing your people to lift up their hands, the refrain, the psalmist repeats it again, This causes me to praise you, oh God, because your righteous judgments are proclaimed in all of the earth. I lift up my hands in praise, in reverence and in worship. Oh God, this causes all peoples to revere and worship Thee. Then with that praise and reverence and worship, Then the earth will give her crop and Elohim, even our God, shall extend favor to all of the peoples. Elohim will extend favor and the ends of the earth shall stand in awe and reverence and show honor unto God.
Would you join me in praying? Father, not one of us here is worthy. There is none that are worthy. Help us to learn from the example of this psalmist, even as we pray, Father, please have mercy upon us. Cause your face to shine upon us, please.
Father, please stir in us Your holy and righteous ways in light of us having access to you by your grace. To come before your throne. Stir us, I pray, and provoke us to proclaim among the nations, among all of the people groups. Among every tongue and tribe and nation, Your righteous way, Your holy paths. May the thought of being Your ambassadors, of being called by you who is God.
Provoke us earnestly to set aside our fleshly ambitions, to see all else as dross, And to long to proliferate Your Word and Your Christ Jesus which you have highly exalted among all. We thank you for your word, Father, I thank you for your care, for your mercy in granting us your word, for your mercy in granting us Your Holy Spirit to lead us in all truth. We praise You, Father, for revealing Yourself to us who are sinners. For redeeming us and for opening our eyes to see and our ears to hear. We praise You, O God, and we shout of Your ways, proclaiming them to be good, yea, very good, very, very good.
And we bless the name of our Christ, your Son, the only begotten, Jesus.
