Every Christian should be concerned with justice for several reasons. First, because the word “Justice,” is a word from the Bible. God, in His wisdom, chose to reveal to mankind, the ways of justice. Therefore, Christians who read their bibles must by divine order be concerned about justice. Social justice is not a Biblical term. Justice is a Biblical term. While all justice is social, the term social justice, the way it is being used today is a term that is a catchphrase for Marxist ideology and liberation theology. Second, our Lord Jesus Christ not only established and summed up and embodied every element of God’s justice and righteousness. He is literally “the righteousness of God.” Jesus is the explainer of justice. Third, this word in the Bible forces a choice: there are only two choices justice or injustice, righteousness or tyranny. The Bible describes both justice and injustice. Fourth, the Bible speaks of injustice as sin – “Perverting justice.”
