In his sermon, 'God's Covenant Lawsuit Against America,' Peter Allison draws parallels between the biblical account of Isaiah 5 and modern-day America. He argues that America, like Israel, has strayed from God's laws, leading to various societal sins and injustices such as systemic oppression, economic fraud, and moral decay. Allison critiques the U.S. Constitution and state laws for formally rejecting God's law and highlights the dangers of ignoring divine warnings. He emphasizes the importance of national repentance and the need for both society and the church to realign with God's statutes. Allison calls for introspection, urging believers to consider whether they are living in accordance with God's will. Despite the grim message, he offers hope through the promise of Christ's redemption and the eventual triumph of God's kingdom. The sermon ends with a call for prayer and faith in God's power to transform society.

Our scripture reading that we will be looking at this morning is Isaiah chapter 5. I like to read beginning at verse 7. For the vineyard of The Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are his pleasant plant. He looked for justice, but behold oppression, for righteousness, but behold a cry for help. Woe to those who join house to house, they add field to field till there is no place where they may dwell alone in the midst of the land.

In my hearing the Lord of hosts said, truly many houses shall be desolate, great and beautiful ones without inhabitants. For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and a homer of seed shall yield one ephah. Woe to those who rise early in the morning, that they may follow intoxicating drink, who continue until night till wine inflames them. The harp and the strings, the tambourine and the flute, and the wine are in their feasts, but they do not regard the work of the Lord, nor consider the operation of His hands. Therefore my people have gone into captivity because they have no knowledge.

Their honorable men are famished and their multitude dried up with thirst. Therefore Sheol has enlarged itself and opened its mouth beyond measure. Their glory and their multitude and their pomp and he who is jubilant shall descend into it. People shall be brought down. Each man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled.

But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment. And the God who is holy shall be hallowed in righteousness. Then the lambs shall feed in their pasture, and in the waste places of the fat ones strangers shall eat. Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as if with a cart-rope. They say, Let him make speed and hasten his work, that we may see it, and let the counsel of the Holy, one of Israel, draw near and come, that we may know it.

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and prudent in their own sight. Woe to men mighty at drinking wine. Woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink, who justify the wicked for a bribe and take away justice from the righteous man. Therefore as fire devours the stubble, and the flame consumes the chaff, so their root will be as rottenness, and their blossom will ascend like dust.

Because they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. Therefore the anger of the Lord is aroused against His people, and He has stretched out His hand against them and stricken them, and the hills tremble, their carcasses were as refuse in the midst of the street. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still." May the Lord consider our affliction and deliver us as we remember His law. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, We ask that your Word might come to us with its warnings, that we might tremble at them, with its comfort that we may hope in you.

May ask that you would keep my mouth from error, that you would drive away any chaff. May your word come to us with power, with much assurance, and with the Holy Spirit this morning in Jesus name Amen. Well, if you didn't wake up this morning from a two month coma, Your week has probably been filled with reading and hearing and thinking about and planning around this little nearly invisible virus thing. Yes, that thing. Whether you came this morning considering it to be the greatest threat to human life in the last 100 years, or whether you came this morning considering it to be merely the latest round of mass hysteria, sending the sheeple over the cliff.

And you're just biding your time, waiting for it to all go away. Isaiah brings a message from God to you and to me this morning. A message that is as applicable to us today as it was to the covenant people of God in the days of Isaiah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah who first heard it. This message of God's prophets to His covenant people could be found in a number of different books, a number of different prophets. Why Isaiah this morning?

Well Matthew Poole says, a commentator, he says of Isaiah, but undoubtedly he was the prince of all the prophets. Whether we consider the great extent and variety of his prophecies, the excellency and sublimity of those mysteries which were revealed to him and by him, the majesty and the elegance of his style, or the incomparable liveliness and power of his sermons. He does so evidently and fully describe the person and the offices and the sufferings in the Kingdom of Christ, that some of the ancients called him the fifth evangelist. And it is observed that there are more testimonies and quotations in the New Testament taken out of Isaiah than out of all other prophets. And so this morning I have chosen to look at this message of God to us today out of Isaiah chapter 5.

Because as we go through this passage I think you will see that what Isaiah described concerning Israel is true of us today. This was Isaiah's, this was God's covenant lawsuit that Isaiah brought as God's messenger to God's people in that day, God's covenant lawsuit. These were God's covenant people. They were in covenant with him to walk in his ways, to follow his statutes, to worship him as the creator and as the king. And they weren't doing that.

And so God sent his messengers with them, to them, with his warnings, with his message, with his call to repent, with his promise that if they didn't there would God would send his judgment upon them and he sent these messengers with signs and he sent warnings to them he sent famines he sent floods He sent other pestilence and judgment upon them. And He said this, He sent these so that they would wake up, so that they would see the condition that they were in As being under, as being covenant breakers and under God's wrath because of it. So, when you bring a lawsuit, you must bring the evidence. You must prove your case in the court. And Isaiah does that in this passage by pointing, by going through the sins and enumerating the sins of this land.

And I think you will see as we go through this that these are the sins of our land as well. And whenever God sends a national judgment like this, this is a global judgment, We ought to be those who look back to the Lord, who begin to look at ourselves and evaluate ourselves in the light of his word and to ask and to consider, are we walking in his ways? Is the Lord chastening us because of our sin? The Lord sends other evil upon people or afflictions upon people for other reasons as well. And so chastisement for falling into sin is not the only reason that chastening comes.

There are many other reasons as we see in the book of Job. But one of them, and one we ought to think of quickly, is that maybe God is chastening us for our sin. And if it's a national chastening for the sin of the nation. And the proper response is the same as the respect Nineveh gave to Jonah's message it's to repent in dust and ashes is to cry out to the Lord for his mercy And so I want to go this morning through this passage and the but the highlight of this passage is in verse 24. This judgment is coming because they have rejected the law of the Lord of Hosts and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

This morning I would like to show you in very specific ways how we have done that as a nation. I'm not talking about the fact that God's law is disobeyed here and disobeyed there and disobeyed by these people over here and so on. I am speaking about the very foundations of our law, those documents on which our government rests. The formal covenants of this nation have rejected the law of God. And so we start in verse seven with Isaiah pointing out or condemning their oppression.

God looked for justice, but behold oppression, for righteousness, but a cry for help. Our nation is like Israel, a nation that has oppressed. The whole Me Too movement was systemic oppression, especially of women and children. And it is global pandemic. If you want to know more about how this is globally, read the Franklin cover-up.

The Federal Reserve with its fraudulent system of money on which our very economy is based. We're not talking about people who commit fraud in the economy. We're talking about the very official foundation of our economy is a foundation of fraud. And that has impoverished this land, and it's especially impoverished the poor. Socialists love to talk about income and wealth disparity.

And even a broken clock is right a couple of times a day. It might be right for the wrong reason and right about something and have the wrong solution. But we have to acknowledge that there is a problem here. It's not a problem of capitalism. It's not a problem of private property.

It's not a problem of industry. It's a problem of government Laws like the Federal Reserve that establish oppression. You can see that in the disparity between the wealthy and the poor that grows, where there is not oppression in an economy, it lifts up the poor, it lifts them out of poverty, It teaches them the value of hard work and allows them to enjoy the blessings of their labor. But we live in a land where those who save are penalized and their wealth is stolen. And that is oppression.

It's unjust. We live in a land where those who save their money find that that money loses its value year after year. That's theft. That's oppression. And it hurts especially the poor.

God said that his anger is especially aroused. It's especially hot against those who oppress the fatherless, the poor, and the widow. Next thing that Isaiah mentions in verse 11 and 12 is drunken entertainment. I should comment, I guess, before moving to that. He talks about those who add field to field till there is no place Where they dwell alone in the midst of the land these are this is speaking of people who are getting wealthier and wealthier, are able to buy up all the land around them.

So there is no place left for others to dwell. They are pushed off of their land. Those who join house to house, add field to field, till there is no place where others may dwell alone in the midst of the land. Truly God says, many houses shall be desolate, great and beautiful ones without inhabitants. Ten acres of a vineyard shall yield one bath, and a homer of seed shall yield one ephah." That's backwards.

That's exactly backwards. An ifa is one tenth of a homer. So you're gonna start out with a truckload of seed, and you're gonna end up with one tenth of that in your harvest. When God is blessing a land, you start out with one bucket of seed and end up with a truckload of harvest. But God is saying just the opposite.

These people who have bought up land and joined field to field, so there's nobody and pushed out all the other people, the poor. He says all their land is going to be inverted. They're going to plant a truckload of seed and get a bucket of grain back. Drunken entertainment. Woe to those who rise early in the morning, that they may follow intoxicating drinkers, continual till night, till wine inflames them, the harp, the strings, the tambourine, and the flute.

This is so obvious. It probably shouldn't even need mentioning. And yet, look at the size of the entertainment industry, an industry that is propped up by many evangelical Christians. The gross ignorance of God's works, Isaiah mentions in verse 12b and 13. These do not regard the work of the Lord nor consider the operation of His hands.

They've gone into captivity because they have no knowledge. You see, those who delight in the Lord take pleasure in His works. They study His works. They study the world that God made in the light of the Word that God has given. See our government schools have turned out a generation after generation of people who are who are not only ignorant of God's laws and His Word and His works.

They're God's most fundamental work of creation. They are taught that God didn't make the world. They're not only ignorant of these things, they're ignorant of even basic history. I'm sure you've all seen many examples of that. They're ignorant of His providential dealings.

They don't praise Him for His deliverances. They are blind and insensitive to what the Lord is working right in front of them. They don't praise Him for all of His deliverance, and they don't humble themselves under His chastening, because they're blind, they're insensitive, they're ignorant of what God is doing all around them. Because they're ignorant, then they don't glorify Him as they ought. They're ignorant of His law.

And so there are gross injustices that are done. You see this as much as our heart goes out to those women who were victims of predators. Yet it's also true that in many cases these people that are the victims don't know the law of God. And they don't know the law, and they don't understand that they are victims. And so often when these people begin to understand and are shown the law of God and taught the Word of God, then they can see and wake up and realize that they've been victimized.

These are people who are ignorant of the signs of the times. They don't see judgment when it smacks their backside. They're ignorant to it. They're ignorant of his chastening in hurricanes and floods and economic reversals. Isaiah goes on to speak about idolatrous glory and pomp being judged.

All of this idolatry, all of this pomp, all of this entertainment, this wine, women, and song mentality and industry. Isaiah says, Sheol is going to open its mouth wide and swallow it all. It's opened its mouth beyond measure. Their glory and their multitude and their pomp and he who is jubilant will fall into it just like the picture is just like Korah, Dathan, and Abiram falling into the pit as the ground opened up under them. This God will judge.

Speaking figuratively here of the captivity that was coming. But God will judge their idolatry, but God will be exalted in his judgment. In verse 16 and 17, the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and the God who is holy shall be hallowed in his righteousness." God is holy, completely set apart from his creation, completely and entirely other from what he has made. And So this God who is holy, it's an attribute of God. This God who is holy will be shown to be holy in the accomplishment of his judgments upon the land.

Verse 18 and 19 speak of addictions. Addictions. It's an odd picture, but it's graphically and it's a graphic and vivid picture of an addiction. The picture is that of people pulling a heavy load, a heavily loaded wagon, as if they were beasts of burden. I've actually seen that in some countries.

I visited, there are people that have donkeys and wagons and they use the donkey to pull the load in their wagon. And then There are people that have donkeys and wagons and they use the donkey to pull the load in their wagon. And then there are people that have donkeys but no wagon and so they use the donkey to pull the load on the ground, drag it on the ground without a wagon while they walk beside the donkey. And then there are people that have neither donkey nor wagon, and I've seen people hitch themselves into the ropes and drag the load on the ground because they had neither. And that's the picture here.

People acting and serving as beasts of burden who are dragging this heavily loaded cart behind them. And the loaded cart that they are dragging is their iniquity, their sin. They are pulling this terribly heavy load with cords of vanity. Vanity is futility. It's nothingness.

These are people who have believed a lie. A lie that has shackled them with a burden from which they cannot escape. They can't free themselves from the ropes that tie them to their sin. If that isn't a picture of addiction, I don't know what is. Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of vanity and sin as if with a cart rope.

But these people are saying, is God really going to judge us? If so, let's see it. Hurry up God. Show us something so that we can believe. And they mockingly refer to the Holy One of Israel.

Let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come that we may know it." That's a, they're mocking God. They're saying, well if you're going to, if you're this God, if you're the Holy One of Israel, if you're going to judge us, let's see something here. Blasphemous. This term, Holy One of Israel, is unique to Isaiah. He uses it 25 times in the rest of the Old Testament.

I think it's maybe used five or six times in a couple other books. And so it's obvious that these are people who have heard Isaiah preach before. They've heard his messages. They've heard him speaking of the Holy One of Israel, and they're throwing it back at Isaiah now, mocking him, mocking his prophetic warning of God's judgment on their land. It's not surprising that one of the greatest afflictions in our land today is opioid addiction, as well as many other addictions.

Those who draw iniquity, they are drawing their iniquity behind them as a heavy load with cords of vanity. Isaiah goes on to speak about the inversion of good and evil in verses 20. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil. The inversion of right and wrong. See, You can murder an unborn child today and be told, you go girl, but if you spank a disobedient child, you're hauled before a judge.

You can take God's name with impunity in a government school, but mention that Jesus Christ is King. Mention that He is Lord of your life, and you'll be removed, fired. We honor the Federal Reserve Chairman who devalues our money, robbing the poor and overturning the very basis of our society. But if you feed the poor on the streets of Houston, you'll get arrested for feeding the poor without having proper credentials. But Here in verse 24, Isaiah gets to the heart of the problem.

The heart of the problem, the heart of God's covenant lawsuit against Israel, is that they have rejected the law of the Jehovah of Hosts they've despised the word of the Holy One of Israel and that's very true of our nation as well we have rejected God's law in an official and in a formal way. And that's what I'd like to look at right now. How have we in a very official and formal way rejected the law of God? We can look at the nation of Israel and see that after Solomon, when the kingdom was split north and south, Jeroboam, the king of the northern ten tribes, set up an idol in Bethel. Because he didn't want his people going down to Jerusalem to worship God as a temple, he thought their heart might be drawn back and he'd lose his kingdom.

So he set up an idol and said, this is the calf that delivered you out of Egypt, worship here. I want to show you how we as a nation have in just as an official and formal way done the same thing. We might say that a culture is always defined by the God that that culture serves. And the God of a culture is whoever or whatever in our case is acknowledged as the source of life and the source of law. Look around.

What does a culture acknowledge as the source of life and the source of law? Those two are connected because the one who creates the life and originates it is the one who by right of creator ownership makes the laws. So you can look at the laws of a society and you can always see who is acknowledged as the source of life by that society. Well, what do we find if we turn our scriptural lens onto our nation? Who do we acknowledge as a source of life?

In your handout, I have a copy of the front cover of an almanac and I didn't bring the copy up here with me but look at that and if you you'll see this is from I think about 1660 who does this Who does this almanac acknowledge as the source of life? I have about 30 of these almanacs, covers, covering the years about 1650 to 1750. And they are published by different people in different colonies, different states, and in typical almanac fashion, they have the date prominently displayed on the front of the cover. Unlike today's almanacs that put the date discreetly off in a little corner, and sometimes you have to look hard to find it. These dates, you notice, they're splashed right across the front of the cover.

In many ways, this almanac is the cultural equivalent of the magazines that crowd around our checkout stands. And you can see that it clearly acknowledges that the very basis of numbering years is the advent of Christ our Lord and that the creation of the world occurred sometime in this case about 5600 years ago. They spell out What the year is in the year of our Lord and that being from creation this many years now when they're doing that They're not putting some controversial Statement on the front page of their almanac to increase sales They're just putting the date on that Clearly these date assertions are as culturally acceptable as the date on Time magazine today. If anybody reads that magazine anymore, it used to be the epitome of the news media. Our culture in its early days recognized Jehovah to be the Creator and His creation to be recent.

And this is reflected then in the original constitutions of our country that were ratified in 1639 and 1641 by our founding fathers. If you look at these constitutions which have been largely ignored today as the founding constitutions of our land, January 24, 1639, the very first constitution in the western world, this is the founding Constitution of our country, the document of several thousand people, the fundamental orders of Connecticut. And this is what it says, I want to read to you, For as much as it pleased Almighty God by the wise disposition of His divine providence, so to order and dispose all things, we inhabitants and residents of Windsor, Hartford, and Weathersford are now cohabiting and dwelling upon the River of Connecticut and the lands there adjoining. We have been gathered here And we know that where people are gathered together, the Word of God requires us to maintain the peace and the union of such people. There should be an orderly, decent government established according to God.

They're not talking about setting up a church. This is a civil government that they are talking about establishing. They are talking about a civil government where people are gathered together. They say that the Word of God requires them to set up a decent and ordered government according to God. And This is what they say is the purpose of their civil government.

We associate and conjoin ourselves to be one public state, or commonwealth. The first reason why we are coming together as a commonwealth is to maintain and preserve the liberty and purity of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which we now profess. This is what our founding fathers established as the covenant in our land. The second reason also has to do with the discipline of the church, which according to the truth of the said gospel is now practiced among us. In other words, their purpose was to preserve the peace for the liberty of the church so that the church would be able to accomplish its mission of gathering the elect and teaching them and making disciples of them.

And then thirdly, and only thirdly, the purpose of their civil government is that in their civil affairs they are guided and governed according to the laws and rules and so forth. In other words, they are acknowledging first and second that civil government exists for the glory of God. It exists to preserve peace in the land that the gospel goes forward. The gospel of Jesus Christ, not the gospel of social justice, or the gospel of egalitarian equality. The gospel of Jesus Christ.

Six months later, the Constitution of New Haven asked a question of the people that were assembled there. Is the Bible the guide for what we do in our commonwealth like it is the guide for what we do in the church. And everybody unanimously said yes. And the man who was leading that organization, John Davenport, said, okay, think about it. I don't want you answering based on what everybody around you is doing.

Think about it. This is going to be a record for history. Think about your vote." And he had them vote again. And they all said, yes. Yes, the Bible is the guide for what we do in our commonwealth like it is the guide for what we do in the church.

Then he asked the second question, when you do business, when you plant your wheat, and when you sell it in the market, are you agreeing to be bound by the Scriptures? And they said, yes. Yes. These people covenanted together to be God's people, to make His law the law of their land. And we see that spelled out in the state laws of that day.

Look at the Massachusetts Body of Liberty, 1641. It establishes in section 94, 12 or 13 capital crimes. And the text of God's Word are right in the text of that civil law. And yes, blasphemy, adultery, bestiality, homosexuality, these are capital crimes in God's Word. And they made them capital crimes in their land as well, because they did not reject God's law.

The Cambridge Synod, which I think met about 1640, now this is a church body, 1650 I think it met. And they asked this question, should the civil magistrate uphold the first and second table of the law of God? The first table being the commandments one through four, which deal with God's name, His worship, idolatry, having other gods, and the Sabbath. Is the civil magistrate responsible to uphold those tables as well as the second table, and they said, yes, He is. That, brothers and sisters, is the foundation of our land.

But Then in 1787, we formally rejected the law of God in our Constitution. Oh, it names God, and there are many good things in it, and we need to follow the good things that are in it. But that document, brothers and sisters, was an explicit rejection of these earlier constitutions. That document rejected the unequivocal Christian heritage of the Founding Fathers expressed in those constitutions of 1639 and 1641, which explicitly acknowledged Jesus Christ to be the King, and the Scriptures to be the only standard of truth and justice. And Why do I say that?

Because our Constitution explicitly forbids religious testos. Our Constitution says you cannot have an oath that requires somebody who would hold office as a God's minister to take an oath that says they have acknowledged that Jesus Christ is King of Kings and the Scriptures are his word. Our Constitution says you can't do that. And that was a direct repudiation of what our founding fathers had established in 1639. That is a rejection of the law of the Lord of Hosts.

Just as certainly as Jeroboam setting up that calf in Bethel was a rejection of the true worship of God in his day. Now it was about 250 years, if my math is correct, from when Jeroboam set up that idol to when the nation of Israel, the northern tribes, were carried off into oblivion, into captivity. God is very patient. God is very patient. It's not been quite 250 years, but it's very close.

And I'm not predicting anything here at all. I'm just pointing out that God is patient, but the day of grace does not last forever. I don't have any idea when the Lord will cause our nation to cease to exist, how long he will allow it to exist. Our days and our years are known only to him. Then thirdly in your outline, We have a constitution that officially rejects the law of God, but then we have state laws that follow suit.

So under this new constitution in 1787, most of the state laws upholding the first table, that's the laws against blasphemy and so on, with the exception of the Fourth Commandment, those did continue. But most of the laws respecting the first table were removed or overturned or ignored. If they hadn't been already. However, the second table, those laws did continue well into the 20th century. The laws of our states that upheld murder and adultery or forbade murder, adultery, theft and so forth, those laws were maintained.

So we it was a it was you could say a partial rejection but of course you can't read partially reject the law of God. James tells us that if you break God's law in one point, we've broken it all. But at least our laws did acknowledge God's truth in the second table. But in the last half of the 20th century, Even these laws have been largely overturned the second table laws For example, Texas overturned the state law upholding the Sixth Commandment in 1952 by an act of legislature when they excluded unborn children from personhood so that it was no longer murder to kill them. That's a rejection of the law of God, a formal legislative vote rejecting the law of God in 1952.

Even Sarah Weddington admitted in oral argument that without this law, she wouldn't have had a case. If Texas law hadn't rejected God's Word and God's law with respect to the murder of unborn children, then she would not have had any case. She was a lawyer who at about 26 years of age argued Roe v. Wade in front of the Supreme Court. She acknowledged she wouldn't have had a case if Texas law had not rejected God's law.

The Seventh Commandment was overturned in the next decades, in the 60s and 70s, in many states. When many states adopted the 1962 American Law Institute model penal code. So this Pagan Law Institute drafted a penal code that was to be an example for all the states. And there were some states that adopted it carte blanche, but many other states, most other states adopted major portions of it. The problem with that model penal code is that it rejected God's law regarding the seventh commandment and incorporated instead Kinsey's ideas on what is moral and immoral.

And Kinsey's ideas on what is moral and immoral were determined by looking at the practices of hundreds of thousands of pedophiles engaged in pedophilia, and homosexuals, and adulterers, and prison population. And that's what our, this model penal code was based on. And Texas adopted Kinsey's based penal code on the sixth, seventh commandment in 1974. Removing protections for women and children and laying the groundwork for the immorality that resulted in the Me Too movement. And that has resulted in the incredible difficulty in prosecuting those predators who have ravaged and destroyed women and children.

Because our legislature rejected the law of God in 1974 and said we want Kinsey's loss instead. We want Kinsey's morality for our nation, for our state. The Eighth Commandment, 1913, made it lawful for one company, one company to steal the wealth of the American people. It gave them a special monopoly to steal. If you and I do what this company is authorized to do, we'd go to jail, and rightly so.

But they're the ones who have a special privilege, congressional vote taken in December of 1913. Or the Ninth Commandment. You can look in the, well, I don't know if it's online anymore, used to be a document called the Northwoods Project. It's signed by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. I think his name was Lemnitzer or something like that.

I have a copy of it. It's in the archives or at least was in the archives and This is an example and there are examples could be multiplied this is an example of official lying because that document this Northwoods project was all about how we could what we could do to get the American people into a war with Cuba and think it was the Cubans who started it. And if you read what they write in there, these ideas, They were very willing to lie to the American people, to kill American people, if a few had to die, in order to accomplish their objective. This is official lying. See, America has rejected the law of God.

So what's the Lord saying today? Therefore, in verse 25, the anger of the Lord is aroused against His people. He has stretched out his hand against them and stricken them. And that's what people think is happening today. And it is.

If this virus doesn't kill off the world, The recession that follows from this shutdown is going to kill the world. This is in essence one more warning. Submarine life was about 40 to 50 percent drilling for emergencies and wars. And to be effective a drill has to be as real to life as possible. The most effective drills were the ones where everybody thought Or everybody believed that the simulated event was actually happening.

Those are the most scary and real and effective. Everybody thought that the simulation was actually happening. We had a few of those. And I think that those principles apply in what we're living today, in the drill that is going on today. Drills serve a number of purposes.

And Drills involving societal lockdown and martial law have been run in this country since the early 1950s. There were mock UN occupation drills in the US. July 31, 1951, nine cities in California were seized under the flag of the United Nations. On April 3, 1952, Lampas is Texas. In August 20, 1952, in Watertown, New York.

The paper, I have a video from, a silent video from the, from about three minutes long of things that were going on in the town of Lampas is Texas on, town New York. The paper described it this way, they took over towns, closed churches, strutted their authority over teachers, posted guards in the classrooms, set up concentration camps and interned businessmen after holding brief one-sided trials without habeas corpus. Said a newspaper effort of the Texas invasion, quote, But the staged action almost became actual drama when one student and two troopers forgot it was only make-believe. Ain't nobody gonna make me get up, cried John Snell, 17. His face beat red.

One of the paratroopers shoved the butt of the rifle within inches of Snell's face and Snell do you want this butt placed in your teeth? Get up. The video describes uniformed people on motorcycles driving up and carting, arresting old men in their 70s and 80s walking with canes who had been tearing down these signs that posted all sorts of laws making it illegal to say anything against the United Nations and so forth. And they walked up and they arrested them and it shows them, it shows some children walking up to us to a church And it says closed by order of the government. You can look at the video.

Official deception of American people by U.S. Civil authority is well established, including their willingness to kill innocent Americans in the process. Just look at the Northwoods Project. As I mentioned earlier, this is one example of what they said in there. We could develop a communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities, and even in Washington.

The terror campaign could be pointed at Cuban refugees seeking haven in the United States. We could sink a boatload of Cubans and enroute to Florida, real or simulated. Now why are they going to sink a boatload of Cuban refugees, killing them in order to start a war and make it look like Cuba started it. We could foster attempts on lives of Cuban refugees in the United States, even to the extent of wounding in instances to be widely publicized, exploding a few plastic bombs in carefully chosen spots. The arrest of Cuban agents and the release of prepared documents substantiating Cuban involvement would also be helpful in projecting the idea of Cuban involvement." This is an official document in our archives, signed by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

This isn't some crazy people off in a corner planning some harebrained conspiracy. And examples of these things could be multiplied many, many times over. These are the reality in which we live. It's like the throne of iniquity in Psalm 9420 that devises evil by law. For what it's worth, even the events of 9-11 happened on the same day and at the exact same time as a nationwide security drill involving numerous federal agencies in which commercial airplanes were flown into big buildings.

There was a drill going on that day of exactly what happened. So what is the purpose of a drill? Why run these drills and why run them so making them real? Well one is acclimation. Each drill further acclimates the population to increased regulation.

Each drill makes this increased level seem normal. Lots of people fussed about airport scanners when they first came out. Now, Nobody says anything about them. They're normal. Secondly, a drill tests the waters.

Each drill tests the public waters and provides important feedback of where people are and what abuse they are willing to tolerate. And if a step produces too much outcry, back off. If it's accepted, lock it in. Thirdly, each drill provides a learning experience to increase the collective knowledge about how to more effectively exercise the control with the least amount of pain and disruption because you don't want an inflame to people. So I think that collectively in this drill The Lord is sending one more warning.

One more love swat as Pastor Phil Kaiser called it for a sister church in Omaha. It's very, very gentle, but it is a warning. It's His servant, as Jeremiah says in 27.6, consolidating one more link in the already lengthy chains of bondage that hold our nation. So what else is God saying to us? I think he's saying to repent, stop rejecting the law of God.

I'm speaking here about the church. I'm not talking about all the groups in society, the LGBTQT or the feminists or other God-hating people, things that proliferate today. I'm not talking about that. I'm speaking about the church. God's complaint against Israel was that they had rejected his law.

The evangelical church in America has rejected the law of God. And the anger of God is aroused against His people. It's against His people. Judgment begins with the house of God. And we can't...

I think we've missed the point of God's love swap. For us to look around and point the finger at all the immorality around us, instead of looking at have we rejected the law of God ourselves. People can't stop carrying their burden of sin as Isaiah so graphically depicted. They're tied to it with cords of vanity. Only Jesus, only Jesus can break that yoke.

And so the book of Isaiah is filled with God's promises that God will preserve a remnant and that God will establish His kingdom. He said earlier in chapter 1, wash yourselves, make yourselves clean, put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes, cease to do evil, learn to do good, seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor, defend the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as well.

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land. But if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it." Now we can't, in our own power, turn aside or turn to God and keep His commandments. We need the Holy Spirit. We need His power. We need Christ to break this yoke.

And that's what Isaiah promises just a few chapters later. In chapter 9, the promise of Christ is given. The promise of the Messiah is given. The one who can break these cords of vanity. The one who can free us from our bondage and from our sin.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon his shoulder, and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. And of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. That is the hope that Isaiah gave to Israel, that this Messiah who to us now has come his kingdom has been established and and God's word promises to us that of the increase of his government there will be No end of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end Jesus Christ is reigning and as your almanac says, in the year of our Lord, in the year of His reign, in that case 1660 years, in our case 2220 years, That is an acknowledgement that Jesus Christ is reigning and has been for 2, 000 years. And of the increase of that government, there will be no end. That's Isaiah's wonderful promise.

That God will preserve a remnant and God will establish and advance his kingdom. That's his promise. The word of the Lord has spoken it. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform this. We can pray that God will destroy the government schools.

We can pray that God will destroy this, end the murder of unborn children. We can pray that this land will turn again and accept God's law and not reject His commandments. We can pray because the zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform it. Let's, brothers and sisters, continue to pray to humble ourselves before the Lord and repent in sackcloth and ashes in fasting and prayer that God would perform this in our midst. He's given us a little promise, a little glimpse in shutting down the government schools.

I was just very blessed as I Considered that that's what happened. But that ought to encourage us more, to pray more. Our God is a mighty God. A mighty God. And pray for faith to ask great things of Him.

Pray for faith to believe His Word that He will. Of the increase of His government, there is no end. And He will, the zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform it. Almighty Heavenly Father, we thank you for these great and mighty promises in your Word. We thank you for the power of the Gospel that in a few hundred years conquered the Roman Empire, the greatest nation on earth at that time, a nation of iron.

We thank you that your gospel has continued to conquer around the world, nation after nation, people after people. You bring into your kingdom in your marvelous and wonderful grace, translating them out of darkness and bringing them into the kingdom of your dear son Jesus Christ. Father, we ask that where we are discouraged, where we have lost hope like Elijah, we ask that you would strengthen us with your word and with your promises. We ask Lord that each day we might remember that we have been crucified with Christ. And it is no longer we who live, but Christ lives in us in the life that we now live in the flesh.

We live by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us. Father, may we live in the power of Your Spirit. May we be those who sing in the Spirit, who pray in the Spirit, who work, who even eat and drink by the power of your Spirit, who witness by the power of your Spirit. Father, we ask all of this in your name, in your strong name. Amen.
